HELLO!! My name is Amber Johnston. I was born and raised in Seattle Washington. I was lucky to have three brothers who loved to pick on their only sister! After I graduated from Lindbergh Highschool in Renton, Washington I was off to college.
I knew when I began college that I would study to become a teacher. Working with children has been a life long dream. I can not imagine doing anything else. I attended Washington State University in Pullman, Washington for four years where I earned my BA in education. I loved every minute of my college experience!
I began teaching at Marshall Primary School, Ft. Cambpell Ky, in 1998. I have enjoyed the time I have spent teaching there! I had the oppurtunity to teach Pre-kindergarten and Kindergarten while at Marshall. It was a wonderful experience!
I have also had the wonderful oppurtunity to teach fourth grade at Pine Tree Intermediate and Reading Recovery for the Longview school system! Now, once again, I am ready for a change. I am so excited to dive into this whole new challenge! I will now be a second grade teacher. I look forward to this new and exciting challenge .
My family has grown greatly in the past few years. I was married to my Husband Josh in 1997. We lived out the first four years of our marriage in Kentucky and are so excited to have been able to return to his home town in Texas. We have had two children, Kyleigh and Zachary. They are the joy of our lives. They are about a year and a half apart and they love each other dearly. They love beating each other up (with love of course)!
My favorite past time is playing with my children and watching them make a wonderful, gigantic mess! Which, I might add, they are very good at! We also love going swimming and taking walks with our dog Keno. Don't tell Keno he is a dog though, he is sure that he is just another child! He is good at making quite a mess too I might add!
