My educational philosophy is based on a very simple and clear idea. All children CAN learn. In order for learning to take place, I need to facilitate a learning environment that is suitable to all students learning styles and needs.
It is the responsibility of every teacher to guide all students through the learning process. The students must feel comfortable and safe in the classroom environment that you have created. When students feel it is safe they will take the necessary risks that are needed for the students to grow and learn. Children should be very clear on the idea that they only way they will grow is to learn from and build on their own mistakes.
I feel that it is my responsibility to make every child feel that they are capable of doing the impossible. I must be giving, flexible, knowledgable, and caring if I want to be a successful teacher. I must try to reach 100% of the students 100% of the time. Only then can I be a great teacher.
